Your monitor may be displaying more colors than is necessary for your needs and the more colors displayed the more resources used
The Solution
Reduce the color quality of your screen image
The Method
- Right Click anywhere on your desktop where there are no icons. Select Properties by Left Clicking.
- Left Click on the Settings tab. You will find a screen similar to the one shown below.
- Reduce the color quality value by Left Clicking on the down arrow and then Clicking a lower bit value
- Click Ok.
