The Problem

You may have noticed that it always takes longer to read data from your CD/DVD than if the same data was residing on your hard disk.

 

The Solution

The CDFS  settings in your registry can be changed to speed up the rate at which data is read.

 

The Method

Follow the steps below to increase the speed at which the data is read from your CD/DVD.

 

  1. **Download this file**. When the window gives you the option to Open/Save, choose Open by Left Clicking.
  2. When you select Open, you will see a screen a similar to the one shown below. Click Yes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Now when you try to copy some data from your CD you will notice the speed boost!!!
