The Problem
When you switch on your computer, you may notice that MSN
Messenger starts up automatically, . Also, when you log on to the
Internet and connect using MSN Messenger, the MSN Today window opens
automatically. Both these processes take some time

It is possible to disable both of these functions if you do not use them or want them taking up time to open.

Wouldn't it be great if there was a quicker way to launch (start)
programs that you use every day?
The Solution
The Quick Launch Toolbar is the answer
to this question. If running, it is located on the
taskbar as shown in the figure below in one
of two places.
If you need to enable it with the directions below, be sure to watch your taskbar to see on which side the Quick Launch Toolbar appears. (It can sometimes be confused with icons of processes running in the background which were started when you booted up your computer)

The Method

You should be able to see the Quick Launch toolbar now. You will probably see Internet Explorer and some other icons there. The good thing about this is that you can launch these applications by clicking on these icons. That means, you do not have to minimize other windows or use your Start Menu to launch programs. By adding programs to the quick launch toolbar, your programs are just one click away!!!
