Windows Loading Screen

You might have noticed the splash screen with the Windows XP logo when you booted up your PC. Disabling this logo will slightly speed up the overall boot process. When you disable this, do remember that you will not be able to see any of the messages, which appear when you boot your computer. If your system runs without any problems, then you wouldn't be missing anything important.

The instructions to remove the logo are as follows

  1. Left Click on your Start Menu, then Left Click on Run
  2. Type msconfig. Click Ok. You should be able to see the screen below.
  3. Make sure that the BOOT.INI  tab is at the front by Left Clicking on it.

  1. Check the box next to NOGUIBOOT, then click OK.
  2. On restarting your computer you will notice that the splash screen has disappeared. To undo the changes, clear the box next to NOGUIBOOT.
